Objective

  • Decathlon wanted to acquire new user from all the platforms to reach a target of 1 million new users in a year, along with increasing engagement from existing users.
  • To meet the target, we decided to show ads only to new users and reduce frequency to existing users.
  • Smart Shopping Campaigns were deployed specifically to drive new customer acquisitions through conversion optimization across key product categories & locations corresponding to the rise in user demand.

Approach

  • Created a campaign for each of the sports that decathlon sells for E.g.: swimming, surfing etc.
  • Smart shopping campaigns were created using new user acquisition strategy (targeting users that have not made purchase in the last 540 days)
  • Campaigns were divided into 3 categories (Top cities, Tier 1 cities, Tier 2-3 cities) and further divided into model codes to track which products and campaigns work better.
